Battle Report: League Of Legends NA LCS Summer Split – Week 8 (July 28-30)

With only a one more week until the summer split regular season ends, one team has risen from the bottom of the standings to squeeze in for their chance in the playoffs.

In an amazing feat, Team Dignitas beat Immortals this week, making it the third week in a row for them to take down a top 3 team. Starting with CLG in week 6 and TSM in week 7, Team Dignitas is quickly becoming a top contender for winning the summer split. Winning against Immortals 2-1 this week, they ended game 3 quickly in a dominant victory. Finishing 17-8 in only 26 minutes, they had a 15k gold lead and player “DIG Ssumday” had a great game going 8/1/5 as Kled.

CLG took a loss this week to Phoenix1 this week, marking their 3rd week in a row that they have lost a match. It seems that CLG has had a hard time since the EU/NA Rift Rivals, falling from a good lead in 1st place, to now 3rd place in a seemingly continual descent. Though they had close matches and brought the series to 1-1, CLG was crushed 6-17 behind 14k in gold in a 27 minute game. From missed skills to bad spacing, CLG had constant screw-ups, resulting in a loss with not a single player with a positive KDR. Even worse, they face Team Dignitas and Team SoloMid next week, and if they don’t turn it around they could face two serious losses, one from a team looking to take their spot in the playoffs.

TSM continues to be fierce, winning both their matches against FlyQuest and Team Envy this week.
