CS:GO PGL Krakow 2017 Quarterfinals Over: Fnatic Misses Its’ first Semi-finals in 16 months

As the PGL Krakow Quarterfinals come to a close, only 4 teams are left. Among them 2 teams nobody believed would make it this far. This week saw one of the biggest upsets in CS:GO eSports history, in addition to a new Brazilian team dominating the saturated European scene.

In a surprising win this week, Immortals took on BIG, a European team with super talents Fatih “gob b” Dayih and Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninic. The match was close to say the least, with two round splits on the first and third rounds. In a rather hilarious moment on Cobblestone, the Immortals hit BIG with a map-ending knife on the bomb, which made some fans very unhappy. However, as the only Brazilian team to make it to the semifinals, the Immortals have all the support that they need.

Astralis had an amazing win against SK Gaming in their match-up, winning 2-0 with a 16-6 finish on Overpass. Nicolai ‘device’ Reedtz went 53-30 with an ADR of 99.6, which helped give Astralis an upper hand in addition to its’ classically tight tactical play.

After finishing 3-2 in the Group Stage, Fnatic barely made it into the Quarterfinals. Though they lost both of their games to Team Gambit, they were relatively close to winning both.

Gambit will face Astralis in the semifinals. We have wait to see who will win the North vs Virtus.pro match to see who will face the Immortals.
